God Sees You
Life’s hardships can leave us weary, but God sees every struggle and every act of love we give despite the trials. I See You is a poem written from God’s perspective, offering comfort and encouragement to those who remain faithful even in life’s darkest moments. Inspired by 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, this poem reminds us that the love we share, even through pain, is never unnoticed.
I See You
“The most beautiful souls are those who survive the fire and come back with water to help those still struggling within it.”- Unknown
I See You
I see you there, awake at night,
A yearning soul that seeks My light.
A bold dreamer who dares to grow,
Chasing dreams, with faith aglow. Each morning brings another test,
Yet still, you rise and give your best.
By grace, your faith stands strong and true,
Like dawn’s first light that paints the blue.I see you search through endless gray,
Finding beauty along the way.
You play the songs that touch you deep,
A melody your heart must keep.I see you wear a weary smile,
While willing to go the extra mile.
You bear the weight no one can see,
Yet still give love so faithfully. You fight through battles, worn yet strong,
Enduring trials that last so long.
You crave a love both pure and rare,
In a world that seldom cares.
The ones who feel both highs and lows,
Who see the thorns but love the rose.
You’re beautiful, just as you are,
A flame that burns, a guiding star. And now, it’s time for you to know,
I cherish seeds of love you sow.
The world may change, but My truth stands tall,
Through you, My love is shared with all.David Ritter
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV): “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
ABOUT THE BOOKS
MEMORIES FOR KEEPS
A collection of poetry reveals one man’s feelings about the world around him. Spirituality is the centerpiece of most of his writings. The author touches the hearts and minds of readers with hope, peace, love, humility, wisdom, and wit. This writer tackles topics ranging from grief to fatherhood. He also writes about addictions and friendships. He captures the essence of a born-again, alcoholic dad. This dad is grateful to have finally found serenity in life. Today, through this collection of both old and new works, he shares that serenity with you!
BOTTLED MEMORIES
These stand-alone poems were written over many years. Individually, they describe the conflicts linked to alcoholism. When read together, they reveal a more complete picture of the destruction, depression, and chaos of addiction. They also show the peace, hope, and joy of recovery. Most of these poems pertain to my life. I hope that other people will relate to them also. It’s not only my story but the story of so many others.
