MEET HIM IN THE MORNING – A POEM BY DAVID RITTER

Meet Him in the Morning is a gentle, faith-filled poem by David Ritter reflecting on the quiet power of meeting God in the stillness of morning. Surrounded by nature’s beauty and guided by gratitude, he finds strength, peace, and spiritual renewal through the Creator’s presence.

Meet Him in the Morning

I try to meet Him in the morning
When the ground is wet with dew,
The birds are singing sweet melodies
As I drink my cup of brew.

The world might think I’m lonely,
I like to believe that’s a lie.
Then I wonder if the Heavens weep,
Because flowers bloom and die.

Then I see the world with grateful eyes,
And He whispers in my ear.
I feel the peace settle in my heart,
When I feel His Spirit near.

When the dark skies open up,
Raining teardrops from above,
I see green sprouts rise with joy,
To receive His blessed love.

As pretty flowers emanate
Where souls at rest will lay,
When two people in love tie the knot,
Or on a Mother’s Day.

So when the storms brew in my life
And assail me without warning,
My heart will blossom with His grace
When I meet Him in the morning.
