Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, David Ritter is a devoted Christian and a recovering alcoholic. His faith and life experiences deeply influence his writing, lending authenticity and power to his work.
David is a proud father of four children, one of whom he lovingly remembers as a guiding presence in his life. He is also a doting grandfather to five grandchildren, whose laughter and love continue to inspire him. These cherished family connections often appear in his poetry, adding a deeply personal touch.
In his leisure time, David enjoys shooting pool, following high school basketball, and cheering for his favorite teams — the Michigan Wolverines and all the Detroit teams, especially the Tigers. He also enjoys reflecting on family dynamics and current events, all of which shape his creative voice.
