A person sitting high in a moss-covered forest tree, surrounded by misty light, symbolizing reflection and silent emotional struggle.

Nobody Knows – A Poem by David Ritter

“Nobody Knows” is a quiet and deeply honest poem about invisible battles and unseen healing. It reminds us that although others may never know the depth of our pain, God sees every tear, every struggle, and every moment we rise again.

Nobody Knows

Nobody knows how many nights
I’ve sat alone and cried,
Or how many times I’ve lost all sleep
When dreams of hope had died.

Nobody knows the roads I’ve walked,
Searching for love without a map,
Or how many times I trusted lies
And fell into a trap.

Nobody knows the thoughts that come
To cloud this weary mind,
Or how the storms of life have left
My heart cold and blind.

Nobody knows the depth I’ve sunk,
Where only darkness grows,
Or how I prayed for Light to come
And lift me from my foes.

Nobody knows how blessed I am
Since God has set me free,
Or how many times He’s held me close—
Nobody knows but me.
