Demons
“Demons” is a spiritual reflection on faith’s power to overcome fear and darkness. Written after a vivid dream, this poem captures a moment of vulnerability turned into peace through prayer. It reminds us that even when shadows loom, God’s light and love always return with the dawn.
Demons
At night I lie upon my bed,
While demons dance inside my head.
They try to remind me of my fears;
I try to drown them in my tears.
I don’t know why they torture me;
I pray to God to set me free,
To lead me past those silent screams,
Toward a place of brighter dreams.
He sends His angels, standing near,
To guard my heart and still my fear.
And as they keep their watch for me,
I rest in faith and victory.
So when the shadows call at night,
I know through Him I’ll win the fight.
For I have learned, when faced alone,
To pray to Him upon the throne.
And when the sun begins to set,
I find no need for me to fret,
For darkness may close my eyes,
But in the morn’ the sun will rise.
