“One Day at a Time” is a heartfelt reflection on letting go of the past, releasing fear about the future, and finding peace in the present. Rooted in faith and personal growth, this poem offers encouragement to take life one step at a time with trust, hope, and perseverance.
One Day at a Time
The past can feel like heavy chains
Of hateful words I said.
Old wounds, regrets, and broken dreams
Still echo in my head.
The future whispers quiet fears
Of things I cannot see.
A thousand worries crowd my mind
About what lies ahead for me.
But today is where my life unfolds
And peace can hold me tight.
If I take just one step in faith
And choose the path that’s right.
So I will leave my past with God
And let tomorrow wait its turn.
For life is lived one day at a time
To love, to laugh, to learn.
